More Trojan horses

Before Stephen got too ill, we used to sit at the kitchen table and make stuff out of clay. It was a distraction from everything that was going on at the time. I got a bit obsessed with making Trojan horses. Here are a few more which I made at that time. They were fired for me by the lovely Dawn at Stroud Pottery. 

Stoneware with oxides (30 x 28 x 10 cms)

Terracotta earthenware with oxides (29 x30 x8 cms)

Glazed Stoneware (22 x 28 x 8 cms)

Degree Show catalogue preparation

I have to send in some images for the UWE degree show catalogue by the end of the week. I think the 'rabbit suit men' may be one of them. I have made 3 altogether now. The one with his arms crossed seems to be the most popular and I may have him professionally cast in porcelain resin as a limited edition of 30 or so.

 

 

A Few More Ceramic Bits and Pieces

Thought you might like to see some more of my attempts at making fairy tale related ceramic pieces. I created these a few months ago now. They are all made of porcelain clay, cast and then altered in some way. I made the egg when I was on a resin workshop and thought the duck girl might like to look after it. You cannot see it very clearly but the sitting girl is holding a glass shoe which is too small for her.





Some of them would look better with a bit of colour....maybe....?
